Fault 2554 - Exhaust Gas Pressure 1 - Data Erratic, Intermittent, or Incorrect /// Carbon build up in sensing ports
Attention All OTT Locations we found today that our Exhaust Gas Pressure port was blocked with carbon build up. This sensor is connected to a mounting block where a metal sensing line runs to the exhaust manifold. To fix the issue disconnect the metal sensing line and inspect for carbon build up, blow compressed air through it and to clean the carbon build up soak in diesel fuel. Then remove the mounting block and inspect the ports where the sensing line mounts and where the sensor screws in. Use a drill bit approx. 5/32" to clear out the ports upper and lower. Then soak in diesel fuel and blow out with compressed air. It was found that this dirty port was causing the fault. The sensor is still good and does not need to be replaced.
