Troubleshooting Poor Boost with "Air Fuel Control Derate" Active in Engine State Monitor
Notice to locations running the ISB6.7 CM2150 2009 model we encountered poor throttle response in turn replacing the turbocharger, intake manifold pressure sensor, and barometric pressure sensor (between turbo and air filter). Recommended action is to run the Engine State Monitor on road test via the Cummins INSITE program. Our team found a "Air Fuel Control Derate" caused from poor boost. From this we were able to troubleshoot the intake system and find the main cause. The air intake heater grid attached to the intake manifold and EGR Valve were caked with soot.
